Easy Simple apple pie
Ingredients
8 servings
- 2 deep dish pie crust- I preferred the Pillsbury crust in a box
- 6 large gala apples sliced up
- 1 cup sugar mixed with 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Tbs water
- about 8 pats of butter
Steps
In one pie shell add apples. Apple's will be stacked very high because they will cook down!
On top of apples add water,
Sprinkle all but 1tsp sugar-cinnamon mix on top. If you prefer you can add more cinnamon, but not too much!
Take 5 pat of butter all around the top of the apples
Carefully flip 2nd crust on top. Connect by pinching around the edges
Take 3 pats butter and spread all over crust
Sprinkle with tsp sugar-cinnamon mix
Preheat oven 375 degrees. Set pie on top on cookie sheet. Make 3 small slits on pie crust. Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown
Let it set for about an hour (if you can!) and the juice will naturally get thick
